There is a wonderful Promotional thread going on at Bonanzle. Montrose a fellow Bonanzle member is doing the promotion. He is great at this! There has been over 3,400 views of this post and it hasn't ended yet. It will end on Saturday, September 26.

He has invited all artist of handcrafted items to join in on this promotion thread to let their art be seen. Considering there has been over 200 replies and over 3,400 views, I would say that the art work is being viewed by many.

Thinking of Having a Bonanza at Bonanzle? New Not Known Minimum is Now 15%

If you are thinking of having a Bonanza in your Bonanzle booth, the new, however not announced minimum is 15%. There has never been a minimum set by Bonanzle as to the discount that you could offer. However there is now. If your prices are already low, you may want to rethink having a Bonanza.

Oh yes, you can set up a coupon code. However, your booth will not be on the front page with those having a Bonanza.

It seems that the "Block Party" is where this little unannounced minimum was discovered. Now it would seem to me that Bonanzle would want this "Block Party" to continue. Here is what Bill said in a comment on his blog:

Seems that those were some good sales and fees, which means more money for Bonanzle. At that time there was no minimum 15% discount, it was whatever the seller thought it should be for their business. Most sellers on Bonanzle also sell on other venues. I know that my prices went down coming from e-bay. The fees were lower so I lowered my prices.

So if you are thinking of joining Bonanzle and ever want to have a Bonanza, make sure that your prices are such that you can take the new non announced minimum 15% discount. Maybe make that 20%, considering this came from the help section of setting up your Bonanza.

The average Bonanza discount in Bonanzle's first few months of operation has been about 10-15%. We're hoping it will nudge up closer to 20%... that seems to be about the lower level that gets buyers smelling blood in the water.

Which makes me think that if in the beginning there were no minimums on the discount that you could offer for your Bonanza, then they will soon nudge it to the 20% ,to "get buyers smelling the blood in the water".

Bonanzle Says There is Nothing They Can Do?

A few weeks ago there was someone that had "used" someone else's code to build Bonanzle templates. When this is someone that does this for a living and another comes along and "uses" someone else's code this in my book is theft.

Anyone that does code has a unique way of doing it and they know their own code, not to mention there is always or for the most part, things that are in the code that are really not needed to make the code work. It is just their style of code.

When this was brought to the attention of Bonanzle support, nothing was done. It was OK with them, there is nothing we can do.

This happened to me, however it wasn't a code, it was only a picture. Now let me tell you this is NOT a picture that I would have stolen from someone, it is far from being a good one. However, it is mine and it was my time that went into taking it.

I too contacted support about it. The reply that I received from them was pretty much, if it's not copyrighted then, we can't do anything.

Not exactly the answer I thought I would get, but it was an answer.

So, if you are selling you really need to watermark your pictures. I have added another picture with the original picture that is watermarked, "stolen from BrightestBlessings". Did I think I would ever do something like this? NOT in a million years! However, I use one stock picture and the rest of them I take. I use my time to take them, my time to up load them to my computer and my time to name each of them. Do I consider this stolen property? Yes I do.

If you do not want anyone using your pictures, watermark them, this might not stop a thief, however, it may make it a little harder for them to "grab" your pictures and use so easily.

Bonanzle Now Able to Adjust Your Invoices

After months of working on a new checkout page, Bill has done it. Not only a new checkout page, a new invoice that you can adjust for your customers. Something that has long been needed for discount shipping or just discounted rates.

However, there will always be a trade off with getting something new and that is now there is no space for the pick-up and paying with cash option. You can read Bill's Blog here about the new features.

Bonanzle has been moving in a forward direction with lots of new and trying to improve features. The newest feature this morning and love it, is the ability to make your Bonanzle widgets custom. Check out the new one on the top right. No, it doesn't color coordinate with this blog, however I am trying to show you, you are now able to choose your colors. An awesome idea for those that have several blogs and need to make them fit in.

The chat box is now able to become a full page size, not sure why you would want to do this, however it is now an option.

Another super feature is that now while you are listing you can place your items into the custom catagory instead of having to list and then batch edit it into the custom catagory. There are also traits that you can add while listing, which again saves time.

The little green dots that use to be next to an item for sale are no longer there. If your item includes the shipping in the price, it will show a little box, free shipping.

There was a HUGE announcement last night on the Brianstorming Bonanzle Show! Last night was the last night of the Brainstorming Bonanzle Show. The host, Auction Wally and co-host Phaedra decided that the Brainstorming Bonanzle Show had been taken as far as it could go.

Now they are looking out for their listeners, they have decided to instead replace the show with a new show called The Selling Circus it will air on Monday nights at 8 est on talk shoe. They have heard and know that for the most part, most of the listeners sell on more than on selling venue. So now instead of just the focus of selling on Bonanzle, they are going to be able to share so much more useful information. Kuudos to Wally and Phaedra for looking out for their listeners!

The Bonanzle Up Mobile raised $759 for the children of St. Jude! The live auction ran about 3 1/2 hours of fun and lots of laughs. Not only did the winners receive free shipping on their items, they will also be receiving a sample spa pack from Phaedra of @theboutique. Auction Wally was at his best. He really kept things fun and moving.

A very special thanks goes to Bobbi of Bobbi85710 Bonanzle booth. This lady put the entire Bonanzle Up Mobile booth together. She spent many hours working on this charity. Many thanks to you Bobbi!

Today is the Bonanzle Up Mobile Charity auction for St. Jude. It will be called live from the Auction Wally Brainstorming Bonanzle Show at 8 est today, Monday, June 1, 2009. You will need two tabs open, one to place your bids in the chat box of the Bonanzle Up Mobile Bonanzle booth and the other to hear the bids being called on the Brainstorming Bonanzle Show. This is for a great cause, the kids!

All items have been donated by Bonanzle booth owners right down to the shipping. So what you bid is what you are going to pay. The shipping is on the donors. Gotta love that! One hundred percent of the money goes to St. Jude.

Bonanzle has had a couple of really neat things added this week. Instead of the little green dot at the bottom of listings now, if you offer shipping included in the price, it shows free shipping. If you are on line, there is an option that a buyer can click and chat with you right then. It takes them right to your chat box. Your items are placed higher search if you are on line. Don't know how well this is going to fly, but we shall see what happens. There seems to also be an up roar after some changes, then things settle down again.

Once again this morning there are some new changes at Bonanzle. The best one is now while you are listing, you can put the item right into your custom categories. It use to be that you would list, update booth and then have to go to the batch editor to place in your custom category. Now everything can be done on the Bonanzle listing page. A Little Bonanzle News

Bonanzle Bill was very busy last night! International buyers can now search for items that ship international, that is if the seller has specified which countries they ship to. You can read more about it in Bill's Bonanzle Blog.

Also the search has now been set to default to the titles. Search has been a little difficult to use, however this is a huge step in the right direction. When using the search before, oh the things that would show up. Thank you Bill for this! He also did a few other things and you can read about them on the "What's New" page.

This weekend 5/16/2009 is the FIRST Bonanzle Up! This is as exciting as the first new server, Bonanzle write up, 5,000 member and the Brainstorming Bonanzle show. Bonanzle Changes In a Very Short Amount of Time

Bonanzle has come such a very long way in a very short time. I am not talking about numbers here, I am talking about site features. It seems that most of the requested features have been put in place and a few are in place and being perfected.

The first packing slip that Bonanzle had, well it served the purpose of a packing slip. The packing slip today can be edited by the seller to fit their needs and add a message to the buyer. There is even a place to mark it shipped and enter a Delivery Confirmation number. If you wish an e-mail will be sent to the buyer letting them know it has been shipped. Not to mention that the shipping is now seperated from the price of the item for the total.

Bonanzle chat used to have to be delted line by line. This may not seem to be a big deal until it was time to clean up your chat box, one line at a time. Now you can delete all chat with the click of one button.

Bonanzle forums use to be a no frills forum. Now you can post pictures and smiley faces. The day that this happened the forums were full of smiles.

There was no wish list or save for later list. Now Bonanzle has both with the added bonus to be able to tweet an item and e-mail to a friend.

Widgets were something that many had been wanting only had no idea how to go about making. Then one morning, we were able to make our widgets right there on Bonanzle! You can make several different widgets with several different titles to fit your needs.

Listing on Bonanzle is super easy and a few months ago there was no wysiwyg editor. That ment no templates. Well today you can use a template of course it has to be one for Bonanzle to work correctly. You can get custom templates right on Bonanzle at SNL Designs.

You can now search the completed listings, set your booth items up to be seen in the order that you wish, add insurance as an option, block buyers and so many other features that just weren't available a few months ago.

Truly amazing how much the site has changed in a few short months and continues to change. Change is a good thing and not everyone will like it or agree with it. However, Bonanzle has made so pretty terrific changes that for the most part the sellers were very happy with.

Currently Bonanzle has 48,138 users, 12,860 Bonanzle booth owners, and 650 supporting members. Currently Bonanzle is still #4 on the PSU listing count board with 1,702,708 listings. I do believe that by this time next week, Bonanzle will be in the number 3 spot.

A Couple of New Features At Bonanzle

Bonanzle has added more features for sellers. Bonanzle now has the booth optimization feature that is there to help sellers. It is still in "beta" and being built. Things like taking a great picture, promoting, shipping and pricing are just a few. This is going to be a real asset to the Bonanzle community.

The packing slip now seperates the shipping and the cost of the items. This is something that a few or more than a few sellers have been asking for and once again they have been heard and received.

Bonanzle now has the "tell a friend" about an item link, located at the bottom of each listing. As well as the twit it link. Both are going to be a great asset to Bonanzle sellers.

Check out the Bonanzle widget up there in the right corner, it no longer has that white boarder. Not that is awesome! It really looked odd with it, however we did get widgets that are super easy to make and use.

Supporting Bonanzle members can now see just exactly where their buyer came from. Along with their e-mail address for fuuture promotions. You do however have to give your clients an opt out if they choose to do so.

Bonanzle currently has 47,354 members, 12,722 Bonanzle booth owners and 643 supporting members. Bonanzle is still #4 on the PSU listing count board with 1,686,256 listings.

Bonanzle Premiere or Plus Members Can Now Print Out Inventory

There was a new blog from Bill this morning. When you see a new blog, you know that something has changed or a new feature has been added to Bonanzle.

Now Plus or Premiere Bonanzle members are able to print out their inventory. This feature is one that so many had been asking for and now can have. You can also grab your buyers e-mail address for your future e-mail marketing, of course your buyer has to opt into this. And coming next week they will also be able to see exactly where their buyer came from. These memberships can be purchased through Ghost's Bonanzle booth, as well as a whole lot of other cool Bonanzle products.

Bonanzle Says Farewell to Bizzy

After what seemed a never ending day on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, it was finally over. Bonanzle said farewell to Bizzy! As far as most sellers were concerned she had over stayed her welcome of the one day. Her first and last. I don't think she will be missed.

There has also been another change in the amount of promos that you can make in the "promote your booth" forum. It started out with no rules, some folks would have several posts and would continue to "bump" them every time it would roll off of the front page.

So, Bonanzle made it two posts per person per day in the "promote your booth" forum. Folks were up set with "only" being able to post two per day. So, it is now you can post five posts in the "promote your booth" forum every three days.

Oh my goodness! Folks are upset again, they have lost one post. What isn't being realized here is that when the post roll off to the second and third page with in a few minutes, you have wasted your time with the post. No one is going to see it and they aren't going to go looking for it.

This new system will work to the sellers advantage. When posting, your post will stay at the top for quite a while. They aren't rolling off of the front page within minutes, people will now see them. This is what you want, isn't it? People to actually see your post.

Bonanzle's New Booth Assistant or Annoyance?

Bonanzle has had a couple of changes the last few days and some have been great while others are just plain tacky. Kudos to Bill and Mark for the limit of 2 postings in the "Promote Your Booth" forum. However, this little find this morning, well sure did bolt me awake, and is just tacky.

A few days ago Bonanzle limited the number to two postings in the "Promote Your Booth" forums from each seller. This was something that I hated to see happen, on the other hand something really had to be done about the constant spam of the board. Within minutes your post would be buried to page 3 or 4. Now you can go into the "Promote Your Booth" forum and read different sellers offering many different items and discounts.

I do think that now there is a limit more will look at the forum and not just move on over it. More productive and many will use their posts wisely. You do have to promote your booth off of the site. Yes, sellers are buyers, but there is a whole wide world of buyers that have still not heard of Bonanzle or your booth.

This morning Bill had a new blog, introducing "Bizzy" bot. I call her Bizzy Brat. She tells tacky very gross jokes. This is NOT the person that I want to be greeting my customers or friends. There is no way to turn her off for good. Not to mention that anyone can turn her on and not even do it intentionally. Customers that are coming to Bonanzle for the first time are not going to see her as funny or inviting.

I know that today is April Fool's day, however this is really done in bad taste. There have been so many threads about taking better pictures, better descriptions to make a hand picked list to appear on the front page. This is NOT a professional appearance. The Bizzy Brat is not someone that I want to greet my customers, especially first time guests to the site.

Bill, do us all a favor give us an option to shut her up permanently or just pull her plug.

A Little Bonanzle News

There have been so many new features at Bonanzle this past week. There have also been some new sites supporting Bonanzle sellers popping up.

This week a new feature that you can chose to opt in or out of, is you will receive an e-mail letting you know that there has been someone chatting in your booth. Another new feature is that if you want to be reminded to leave feedback or your customers to be reminded to leave feedback. Buyers can now chose if they want to receive e-mails from sellers or not. A new site that called "BonanzleNoSpimZone" was created by Steve of Bonanzle booth, TheJewelryShack. I don't think this man sleeps to much. It was only started a week maybe 10 days ago and has over 150 members!

This is a seller site to come a talk about what ever is on your mind. If you need help with anything there is lots of help here too. Make sure to check out WallyH profile! This guy is great with links and anything to do with html. Not to mention he has a wonderful sense of humor! He also has a Bonanzle booth WallyH.

Only on Bonanzle can the members come to the forums and have a discussion with different opinions and still be civil about it eight pages later. A very productive thread. ONLY on Bonanzle could the members come to the forums and request that a feature be an option to turn it off at the sellers wish and it happen.

Bonanzle recently started sending out "feedback reminders" to buyers. There were a few sellers that were not happy to learn about this while others thought nothing of it. This was set up the first of January, Bonanzle will send out a reminder to the buyer to leave feedback. It was updated or reworded on March 22, 2009.

Needless to say there were the ones that wanted it "turned off" and others that just thought it was a good idea. While others just didn't care one way or the other.

Within a couple of hours Bill was in the forum, letting the sellers know that he would work on it being an option to turn it off tonight. Now while he is working on that tonight, if he would be so kind and fix the text box that used to drop down when someone said something in your booth. Oh, I really miss that. The remote has been a work around for this, as long as you remember to turn the volume up on your computer.

ONLY on Bonanzle does the site owners listen, really listen and care what the sellers need or want.

It has been a long time in coming, Tom of Shopper-Lane.com Bonanzle booth, has been hired to work part-time at Bonanzle. Up until now Mark has done the managing of the Bonanzle community by himself. This may have been an easy job for Mark when the community was at 1,000 members, however that is NOT the case any longer.

Just what is it that Tom will be doing? Well, he will be assisting Mark with keeping fakes and other items that do not adhere to Bonanzle policies. He will be helping Bonanzle booth owners to optimize their listings for greater search results. He will also be helping Bonanzle booth owners to troubleshoot and problems they maybe having.

Bill is going to try to have a "corner" of Bonanzle where Tom and some experienced sellers can get together to help the less experienced sellers. It should be intresting to see the before and after results of this. You can read more about this on Bill's Bonanzle Blog.

My Bonanzle Deals

I have to tell you that I have gotten some really great deals at Bonanzle. Just love to shop at Bonanzle! All of the transactions that I have had have been excellent. The prices great and the sellers are just super!

My daughter was over a couple of weeks ago and of course she wanted to browse Bonanzle to see what was new. Not looking for anything really. Well, I hear this mom look at these. I knew what that means. Mom I really want these. Now you have to understand that my daughter is not a little girl any more, she is married and has three children. She was the first born of seven and only girl. So yea, she is a little spoiled.

So I come over to the computer to check her wants out. She was so excited about these shoes.
OK, she was excited! These were in Bonanzle booth ScrapBookingAndy. So I made my first ever offer. It was really pretty easy, just read the directions and it walks you right through it. Finished and hit the submit button. I did not let her know that I had put in an offer. Within a day my offer was accepted! I was thrilled that I completed the deal and had no problems and she is thrill that she is getting these "way cool" shoes.

Bonanzle Has Some Real Talent: They Are Very Helpful

Bonanzle has grown at a rapid rate and has done so with the grassroots efforts. There are so many really helpful folks that are there to help you. Not just help you with an issue with your Bonanzle booth, things like your personal computer problems.

BluePennyLady has spent hours helping folks with Google either one on one or in the forums. Judy has some wonderful knowledge when working with Google. She is more than willing to help you! Thank you Judy for all that you do for the folks at Bonanzle, very unselfish person.

Another very helpful person is Jack at JacksPlace . There were several folks last week that were having issues with listing and getting into their mail. Jack went step by step on how to up date their JavaScript and what settings they needed to be using in their browsers. This takes time to do and I thank you Jack!

ThreeTen a fairly new Bonanzle member has spent his time putting together a Google Attributes visual screen shot. Google Attributes are something that really does work and most have an issue with doing. However, he has taken his time to set this page up. Thank you Merrill for taking your time to do this!

Steve from the_Jewelry_Shack has worked endless hours as well working on the Google Keywords. He spends hours working on the bonanzle ning network in marketing and is soon going to be doing a live "No Spin Zone Bonanzle" talk show on talkshoe soon. Bonanzle 9 Points

Bonanzle has added a new 9 points system to Bonanzle sellers "more" profile. Bonanzle has worked hard to keep the site as "safe" as you can be on the internet. Mind you nothing is guaranteed in keeping everything "safe", however Bonanzle has added just a little extra to try to ensure it.

These are the 9 points. For the "Trust Report"

1. Filled out profile information about themselves.
I would think that this would be one of the first things that a seller would do.

2. Used a valid credit card to pay Bonanzle fees or membership dues.
This just makes life a little easier, at least for this seller.

3. Received personal recommendations from other Bonanzle members.
This is always welcome. Very nice when someone takes time out of their day to write you a recommendation.

4. Received at least five positive feedback from transactions occurring on Bonanzle.
This shouldn't take a whole lot to complete.

5. Filled out a detailed overview of their booth.
Again I would think that this was one of the first things that a seller would take time to do.

6. Provided detailed policies for their booth.
Another first that should have been done, prior to activation of your booth.

7. Posted more than 50 messages in the Bonanzle message forums.
Bonanzle forums are not hard to get involved in. Harder not to go to, then to stay away. Fifty posts is nothing to achive.

8. Given at least one other way they can be found online or offline, besides Bonanzle.
With the way the world is today, no I don't want my phone number here. However, Twitter, facebook, blog, a ning network, or e-mail will work. I am sure there are lots of others too.

9. Logged into Bonanzle within the last month.
Now, I don't know about you, but if a seller hasn't logged in, in the last month, this tells me that they have dumped thier items and left.

This is nothing new as far as this information, it has always been available. Just scattered all over. Like the number of posts, this shows on your posts. The profile and booth details, contact information have always been there. Now everything is located on one page. That's all, no big deal. Feedback has also been available.

Bonanzle overall site rating feedback is 99.4% positive. An awesome feedback rating!

Bonanzle has made it to the BusinessWeek article " Hey e-Bay, Say Hello to Bonanzle", written by Douglas MacMillan. It is very well written and well worth a read.

Bonanzle has also gotten an addition the the front page, which is really nice. At the botton of the hand picked list there are now rotating quotes. For instance, "I really hesitate to call Bonanzle an "e-Bay competitor". Because it is so different and refreshing. Bonanzle is a new animal entirely".

In addition to being able to tweet and item on Twitter.com you can now add a personalized message to it. Bill adds to the "what's new" page usually afer he has done something to the site. It is a great way to stay on top of changes and new features.

Bonanzle has had some kind of growth in the last few months. Just incredible growth. Currently Bonanzle has 35,409 users, 10,323 Bonanzle booth owners and 539 supporting members. Bonanzle is still #4 on the PSU listing count board with 1,413,385 listings.

Bill has been hard at work again last night with a new feature. A seller can now set up restrictions on buyers. This has be on the vote list and is now avabiable. Bonanzle really listens to the community.

With Growth Comes Change At Bonanzle

Bonanzle has had some real growth in the last couple of months. There are currently 34,740 users and of those users there are 10,161 Bonanzle booths of that there are 534 plus or premiere members. Bonanzle is currently #4 on the PSU listing count board with 1,401,411 listings.

With growth comes change and no, not all will like it, however there has to be rules in any community. Bill did a Bonanzle blog about the new changes and yes, they are for the better. When there were only 500 members the forums were not an issuse, people went to get help or say hello, they got quick answers and greeted.

With reaching almost 35,000 members things are growing and so are the forums. It takes no time at all for a thread to roll to the second page, people trying to promote their Bonanzle booth would bump threads over and over. New users trying to get answers, their posts would be gone in no time at all.

So now we have a new people page and it is wonderful! The people page now has the last 8 threads and they are broken into most recent deals and promotions on one side and on the other most recent discussions. This seems to be working very well.

Bill has also added the ship button to our sellers page and are now able to in put delivery confirmation numbers and e-mail customer that order has shipped. This is a super plus as a seller.

Another added feature that has been added in the last couple of weeks is the export to Craigslist.
Then there is this really cool feature "Tweet It". While browsing you can now Tweet an item to Tweeter. The batch edit has also gotten a facelift. And a very fine one indeed. Very easy to use now.

The latest added feature is the ability to set custom attributes in Google Base. Lots of folks have been waiting for this feature. And they now have it. Just like everything else they have asked for, they have gotten.

Auction Wally's Brainstorming Bonanzle With Guest Renagade

Brainstorming Bonanzle "Discussion Boards" Teriffic Show!

If you missed the Auction Wally Brainstorming Bonanzle show last night you missed an excellent show. The show was "How we use the Discussion Board on Bonanzle", a very informative show with some very good feedback from all who attended. Great information for all chat forums not just Bonanzle.

No matter what community you are in, there is going to be a few negative Nelly's, just the way it is. However, how you choose to handle it is the key. You can engage in this type of behavior or ignore it, all together.

There are some folks that are new to the internet and don't understand that every time a comment is made in a negative thread it will bring it back to the top. The key to the negative threads is to ignore them and they will go away. Make no comments to it, put it to rest.

I have to tell you I love this new word that I have learned, "snarkey"! Not really even sure of the spelling of it. Never heard it before the Auction Wally show and his co-host Phaedra from @the booutique used it. Snarkey comments are from what I understand of it, directed at someone or just a nasty comment.

Again how you choose to handle the snarkey comment is up to you. Continue to make comments to that thread and it just continues to come to the top, which in turn gets exposure. This is what that poster has wanted, the attention. Don't give it to them, make no comment.

Yes, there are people that come to the boards for help. If things get out of hand or ugly, send them a text message with the answers they are needing, don't continue to give attention to a poster that is seeking attention.

With the growth that Bonanzle is experiencing, there are going to be things said in the forums that are taken the wrong way. This is true of any forum, you can not hear the tone of their voice or that little grin or wink to know how this is being said. If you are in any doubt about a post you are writing and the way it will be taken, don't post it.

The Bonanzle forums have been just super for answers and ideas for promoting. For the most part there is a large group of folks there that take time to answer questions and help when it is needed. The forums on Bonanzle are probably the best I have seen. Just chalk it up to growing pains.

Bonanzle is still #4 on the PSU listing board with 1,203,924 listings. There are currently 28,980 users of those users 8,638 have a Bonanzle booth. Currently there are 432 supporting members.

Bonanzle I Don't Agree With You On This One

Bonanzle is still #4 on the PSU listing count this morning with 1,136,620 listings. Currently there are 27,777 users of those users, 8,208 are Bonanzle booth owners and of those owners, 406 are supporting Bonanzle members. This means that less than 5% of the booth owners are supporting members.

Today when logging in, there is a new front page made up of the handpicked lists. Everything was red, assuming this had to do with Valentines Day. Everything looked new. Now I maybe wrong about this, but Bonanzle was selling Bonanzle as not the shiny new stuff. What just happened here?

Not quite sure what prompted this change of the front page. The old front page was very inviting, The pictures exploded into new ones and changed all of the time. Now it just sits there with what appears to be shiny new stuff.

It would seem to be more of a priority at Bonanzle to make a sellers page. Seem to be spending a lot of time checking and rechecking myself on what has shipped or has had feedback. To much wasted time. What has been paid for and offers that need attention. There needs to be more backend features at this time rather than a new front page.

When I became a supporting member, it was for the future of my business. No supporting members no new servers. Bottom line you can't run a business without money to do so. Not to many sales were coming in, so not to much in final value fees were being paid. The supporting member seemed to be the way to go to insure the future of my business.

As a supporting member there were a few perks. One perk is the Google Analytics, this is critical for me to see where my traffic is coming from. Wasted time is money. Another perk is that your items were twice as likey to show on the front page.

This is no longer a perk for me. I sell Pagan and Wiccan items, there is no chance in this realm that my items will be on the front page. I know this, I am not foolish.

So I did a little checking this morning on the front page handpicked lists. One list has a total of 6 of the 20 items that are supporting members. Another list has 8 supporting members items out of the 20.

So now I guess I need to consider dropping my supporting membership and spending that $24 a month in other areas of advertising. At this time with the economy the way that it is and being a small seller, it just doesn't make good business sense for me to continue to be a supporting member.

It also doesn't make to much sense for a lot of new members to become supporting members. There are less than 5% supporting members of the site and to take away something as small as front page just doesn't seem like a wise business move. Only time will tell........

Bonanzle Is Rocking

Bonanzle is still in the #4 spot on the PSU listing count board this morning. There are currently 24,750 users, of those users 8,093 are booth owners and 402 are supporting members.

This week in Bill's Bonanzle blog "A Couple Changes, A Couple Stats" has some of the new features of Bonanzle. Some really nice changes, the buy page has been revamped, and now with the handpicked lists will appear on the front page with 20 items.

With the growth happening daily, or should I say hourly, Bonanzle will be be doubling the server capacity again next week, this was done not so long ago and will be happening again.

Bonanzle A Week In Review

Bonanzle has just had an awesome week! After being named the best eBay alternative in July by Ecommerce Guide, Bonanzle was again named the best eBay alternative last week, this time by SmallBusinessComputing! This is no mean feat! Bonanzle has only been out of beta for a very short 5 months.

Bonanzle also hit the million listing count this past week. Actually it hit the million count more than once, before it stuck. Then by Sunday, Bonanzle hit the 25,000 user mark. There are currently 25869 users and 1,061,543 listings!

With all of the excitement we were given new Bonanzle logos, made by Christy, new forum boards, a new search page, given a feature to delete all of our chat out of the chat box at one time, and given links to the person in chat.

We were also down for 7 minutes on Saturday to get more disk space for the servers, to make things run smooth, which happenened without a hitch. Happy belated Birthday Alex and a job very well done!

This morning I check the "what's new" page and we now have a new invoice on the counter offer a place to add the shipping. There were more things done last night, however you will have to take a stroll over to Bonanzle and read it.

Bonanzle has so much positive energy going on all of the time. If you have not checked Bonanzle to buy or shop, you need to do yourself and your budget a favor. Come on over to Bonanzle to meet some really nice folks and get some really great deals!

Bonanzle Off Line For 7 Minutes Saturday

Yesterday Bonanzle went off line for about 7 minutes to add more disk space to the server. I do believe that it was only in November that this was done, Bonanzle has had some kind of growth. Bill let everyone know this was going to happen in advance in his Bonanzle blog.
This morning the listing count is at 1,046,613 and 24,802 users. Of those users 7,247 have a Bonanzle booth and of those Bonanzle booth owners 388 are supporting members.

With growth also comes change which we all know is not going to make everyone happy, no matter what you do. There has been so much "promoting" in the forums that now there is a special place in the forums just for promoting your booth called of course, "Promote Your Booth".

There have been some very creative people who have come up with tickle me tuesday, friends on friday, auctions, limbo and a few other ways to sell. So Bill has put yet another spot in the forums just for "Buying and Selling Games".

On the front page there is yet another place that will show the Bonanzle booth that is having a Bonanza and when. You set up the day and time and your "special" for that three hour block. Once you have done this it is then shown on the Bonanza page.

Promoting also has to be done off Bonanzle for your booth, your business. Promoting in the forums in the correct place is great and that is where it should be done. It seems the latest craze is now to go to someones booth and leave them a message in their chat box advertising their booth. This is the most unprofessional form of advertistment I can think of.

Don't forget the Auction Wally "Brainstorming Bonanzle" show is tomorrow night at 8 est. This is where you will learn to promote your business, what works and doesn't work. There is always lots of great information at his show. If you take just one idea and use it, you will be ahead of the game.

Bonanzle Hit A Million Listings!

According to the PSU listing board Bonanzle has over a million listings this morning at 10:09 est the listing board showed 1,001,927. 1/27/2009) This is yet another milestone for Bonanzle!

Bonanzle has achieved this in 5 months, something that took e-Bay 2 years to do. Something to be said for those noisy flee market sellers. There has been no paid marketing, only the grassroots efforts of its community. The user count this morning is at 23,244.

There is also a new catagory page being worked on. This is in Bill's blog this morning. The page is full, however it is not cluttered or overwhelming. The new page is going to feature items from the premiere subscribers.

Bonanzle Will Hit One Million Listings Today!

Bonanzle will hit one million listings today! Currently there are 996,194 listings according to the PSU listing board. Currently there are 23,014 users, 6,777 of those users have a Bonanzle booth, of those who have a booth, 332 of those are sponsering users of Bonanzle.

There were also a few new features this morning at Bonanzle. We are now able to clear the chat box with one click instead of having to delete line by line. LOVE this new feature, a time saver. You are now able to click on the person you are chatting with to go to their booth. It use to be that we had to look them up and then on our way to their booth, another time saver. There are also other new features on the "what's new" page.

Bonanzle has no listing fees, no booth fees and the final value fees are next to nothing. If you are looking to buy something different or sell something different, Bonanzle will allow you to do so at very little cost to you.

Bonanzle has no where to go, but up the charts! Come on over to Bonanzle, you will be so glad that you did!

Live Auction At Bonanzle

The live auction on Bonanzle yesterday was a success not to mention fun! Auction Wally did a wonderful job of keeping things going, of course with the help of his wife, Shelly.

This was the first live called auction ever to be done on Bonanzle. You needed to have two tabs open one on talkshoe.com for the sound and the other at AuctionWally's Bonanzle booth to bid. There were only bids in the booth and chat was happening on the talkshoe chat.

I believe that Auction Wally is on to something here with the live auctions and I do believe that they will take off at a rapid rate of speed. Only shows you what a little thought and creativity can lead to.

Bonanzle is on course to hit a million listings for tomorrow. Even after the "clean up" of listings that were pulled of about 50,000. This was done by the Bonanzle owners. This morning there are 22,656 users and 977,801 listings.

LIVE Real Time Auction At Bonanzle Tomorrow With Auction Wally

Tomorrow, Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 1:00 est there will be a real live auction called in Auction Wally's Bonanzle booth. You will need to open two tabs in your browser, one to see the auction in the booth and the other to hear the auction from a talkshoe call. This will be the first called auction on Bonanzle!

Auction Wally NEVER has a reserve or minimum bid on anything. He has been in the business for 25 years, although this will be his first live Bonanzle auction called from his booth. Will be lots of fun to see all of this come together. Go here for complete instructions and links to everything.

Bonanzle has given sellers a lot of different tools to work with and this is just such a creative way to use the chat box and talkshoe together, one to see and the other to hear.

Bonanzle is like I said yesterday back in the #4 spot on the PSU listing board and I do believe that next week Bonanzle will hit the million listing count! It has taken Bonanzle less than 5 months to do, e-bay 2 years to do. Something to be said about those noisy, flee market sellers.

Bonanzle Up and Down Day

What an up and down day yesterday was for Bonanzle. The listing counts on the PSU board started going down, really down. Needless to say Bonanzle is back in #5 spot, but not for long. Before the end of the day Bonanzle will be back in the #4 spot.

This just means that we probably won't hit the million listing count until Monday. That's ok, I like playing fair and in a safe community.

Of course people watch the listing board and the number of users at Bonanzle. When the listings started heading south, questions started being asked, just what is going on?

Mark showed up at the PSU forum to let everyone know that "they were cleaning the ranch." In another thread on Bonanzle Bill showed up to say, "Hehehe… sorry to all you betters, but we recently took down a 50,000 item booth that had a bit of a fishy history behind it. That’ll set us back a couple days on the road to one million, but we always err on the side of caution when deciding which items can be sold and which can’t.

Knowing Bonanzlers, we’ll have the 50k items back and then some within the next couple days!"

Bonanzle is the only site where the owners will come to forums to answer questions. These guys are so on top of issues, even before they happen. Here a couple of weeks ago, there were a few folks that thought they would get on the front page of the booths page. So, if you favorite me, I will favorite you. So there were a few that went plum crazy.

This morning in Bill's Bonanzle Blog, the issue has been resolved. Here is part of the blog:

Booth favorites limited to 15 per month since registration and 75 total (that is, if you registered 3 months ago, you can mark 15*3 = 45 favorites). Being marked as a "favorite" of a user is intended to be a special designation, but with our previously unlimited booth favoriting, there was no reason a seller couldn't sign up and "favorite" 500 booths the next day, and presumably get a number of those booths to favorite them in return to increase their standings in the list of "most favorited booths" list. In implementing this limit, we hope to make favoriting an even more special designation, while still allowing our longer-time users the opportunity to favorite a bunch of booths (we know it's can be hard to choose which are the best of the best!). Note that if you are currently in excess of these limits, you'll still have all your favorites intact, but you won't be able to add new favorites until you're under the limit.

This next issue is so wonderful to the small seller, and I thank Bonanzle for this.
Booths limited to 10,000 items*. This goes hand-in-hand with the blog post from a couple weeks ago about not letting Bonanzle get overrun by drop shipping merchants, big box stores, or other mega-merchants. Bonanzle has grown because of grassroots efforts by small sellers; it's our vision to ensure that Bonanzle will always be a hospitable place to the sellers who have helped to create us. We think that this limit should help promote an atmosphere where no one seller could ever dominate policy (or hog buyers) on Bonanzle as we grow. (* because we're willing to fudge the limit a bit for users that have already registered and who have cool merchandise, like moviemagicusa with his 15k-ish items)

Brainstorming Bonanzle Great Show Last Night

Brainstorming Bonanzle last night was an awesome show! Just so much information, from branding your business to doing a live real time auction at your Bonanzle booth. If you missed the show you can listen to it and read the show notes. Well worth the 2 hours and 20 minutes, Auction Wally and his co-host Phaedra kept the show fun and very informative.

Henrietta didn't come to the show which was kind of disappointing, she always shares great information. However, John from ColderIce.com did. This guy is just crazy, but in a great way, fun to listen to. He also shared some great information.

So what's new at Bonanzle? There are still lots of people that are on dial up and with that said, when doing a Bonanza, (a sale in your Bonanzle booth) there is a disco ball that spins around in your banner, music and a little robot. With all of the little extras, it can really bog down your chat box, making it a nightmare to answer questions. Well now you have the option to turn these special little extra features off. This is wonderful news to the dial up folks, buyer and seller.

The pictures on the front page now move at a faster rate. They almost explode into the next picture. Really an awesome sight to sit and watch. The completed search now prompts you for what you are searching for. This is a feature that lots of folks have been waiting for.

Bonanzle is still #4 on the PSU listing board and I still believe that by this Thursday they will hit a million listings in just a short 5 months, something that took e-bay two years to do. There is currently over 21,000 users, not to shabby.

Exciting Day At Bonanzle!

Bonanzle had another exciting day yesterday! Bonanzle made it to the #4 spot on the PSU listing board and reached 21,000 members! My guess is that Bonanzle will have a million listings by Thursday this week. Something that took e-bay 2 years to do.

This site has been built by the community. Autcion Wally has helped with so many things. He has been doing a talkshoe.com show every Monday night at 8 est, called Brainstorming Bonanzle. If you are looking for ways to increase your business this is the show to listen to. Auction Wally has been in the business for 25 years and offers loads of information, not to mention he is so much fun too! He also has a Bonanzle booth, autionwally.

Bonanzle A Million Listings By Thursday?

This week should be a very exciting week at Bonanzle. I do think by the end of today that Bonanzle will be in the #4 spot on the PSU listing board. I also believe that by Thursday Bonanzle will hit a million listings!

This is some kind of growth considering this site is less than a year old and has done no advertising in the sense of paid advertising. Bonanzle has been built on grass roots efforts. The saying word of mouth can make you or break you sure is holding true.

Bill has made our lives easier again with the new automatic billing. I was thrilled to see this new feature this morning and even more thrilled to pay my fees. You can read more on this at Bill's Blog.

Bonanzle Supporting Membership Perks

The growth of Bonanzle is making history I am sure. Not to mention that the way that it has grown with grass roots efforts of the community. Bonanzle has given the little seller back everything that e-bay has taken away. We have control of our business again.

Bonanzle is free to list, free booth and the final value fees are nothing to worry about. However, if you wish to a sponsoring member it does have its perks.

One of the greatest things of becoming a sponsoring member, besides the fact that you are helping to build a better and faster running site, is that you are able to have Google Analytics. This is such a powerful tool. It lets you know where your traffic is coming from and where your promoting is, well just a waste of time. Are your paid ads really paying off for you? If not, time to move on to something more productive.

Another one of the perks and this caused quite a commotion in the forums, is the ability to turn off the Amazon Review on your listing. This is something that loads of people were upset about, why I am not sure, it has been there since day one and then all of a sudden, BAM everyone was up in arms about it.

Once again Bill and Mark listened to the community.They decided that if this was something that you could not live with then they would throw that in as one of the sponsering perks.

There are more perks for the ever so tiny fee of $10 a month. Or you can go with the premier member ship of $24 a month. Your items will appear in the search where the Google ads use to be. NO this does NOT raise your search standing! Your items are twice as likely to be shown on the front page, which is cool, however how many people are coming to buy are going to sit and stare at the front page? Not to mention that if you are bringing your buyers to the site, aren't you using a direct link to your booth?

I look at the small fee of $24 a month as an investment in my furture. Bonanzle has given me control over my business and not asked for anything in return. Sure I know things are tight, however this is business, ten dollars a month can be saved on the sodas or mochas that are bought without even thinking about it. Not to mention those trips to burger world. We can all find ten dollars a month to run our business and invest in our furture.

Bonanzle Gets Mention At CNN

Who says grass roots efforts at Bonanzle doesn't pay off. Bill has updated his Bonanzle Blog and it is a must read, or see, for sure! Great Bonanzle facts and a humor too! Not to mention ladies, this picture is sure easy on the eyes!

On Wednesday Bonanzle went down for a scheduled maintenance for about forty minutes. This was to add memory to the server. No wonder with the steady rapid growth. At the same time the maintenance was scheduled, we were in a countdown to the 20,000 member.

The maintenance went on as scheduled and at 6:35 PM EST on 1/14/2009 we welcomed our 20,000 member, ehappy to Bonanzle! As always this was very exciting, the forum was filled with chit chat, food and drinks. Welcome to Bonanzle ehappy!

Bonanzle was also mentioned on CNN. Take the time to read, very inspiring story, well worth the time.

Bonanzle is still #5 on the PSU listing board, has 20,301 members, of those members 4,033 have Bonanzle booths and 287 are sponsoring members.

Bonanzle I do believe will be in the #4 spot on the PSU listing board before Monday. It has been a steady climb in both listings and members. The growth is happening, however Bill and Mark have not changed in their ways. They still keep us informed of what is happening, when it will be happening, still answering e-mails and still in the forums. Did I mention they both have a Bonanzle booth?

Bonanzle Booth Owners Are Heard Again

You know the site is growing rapidly when they have to schedule a down time again to add more memory. This is wonderful news, so today Wednesday, January 14, 2009 Bonanzle will be down starting at 2:30 pm PST. Bill figures no more than thirty minutes.

Bonanzle is set up as default to view the highest to lowest in price in a Bonanzle booth. For months sellers have wanted to be able to set up their booth to view the way they would like to show their items. Well now they can with a subscribing membership. We are now in need of a third server! If there wasn"t any growth, this would not be needed, so this is a good thing.

Bill has also set up a shipping default, that each seller can set up in their Bonanzle booth. This is also a feature that has been voted on and is now active.

You can read more of Bill Bonanlze Blog and see what is going on at night while you are sleeping. Bill also keeps everyone up to speed with the "what's new" page. Here he lists what he has worked on or working on.

You see at Bonanzle the voice is heard by voting on what is next, by the community. We are not seen as noise. If there is a feature that you would like to see and it is not listed, there is also a place to submit it also. You as a seller are heard at Bonanzle.

Bonanzle is still holding a strong #5 on the PSU board and soon to take the #4 spot! With 811,159 listings and 19,862 users no wonder we are in need again of another server. If you are not a subscribing member, please think about it. We are talking about $10 a month. You couldn't have a web site of your own for that. Remember every time that you want a feature, someone has to pay for it. This is a business and it takes money to run a business.

Considering that there are 3,964 Bonanzle booth owners, and only 270 of them are subscribing members! This some how just doesn't wash. That's a whole lot of booths using a whole lot of memory, running time on a server at no cost to them. We are talking about .34 cents a day to have your business on line. I do believe that everyone can find .34 cents a day to invest in their business. Thirty-four cents a day to invest in their future.

Bonanzle has given the small sellers a place to sell and have fun again in doing so. Bonanzle has given us back control of our business. Isn't it worth ten bucks a month?

Bonanzle Growning Like Weeds After A Spring Time Rain

Bonanzle is growing at a steady rate. Still #5 on the PSU listing board and I believe that by this time next month Bonanzle will be in the #4 spot. Within the one year of start up I see Bonanzle in the #3 spot at PSU.

Bonanzle currently has 19,641 users and 3,888 of those users have a Bonanzle booth. This means that there are a lot of users that are buyers. You do the math.

Last night on the Auction Wally Brainstorming Bonanzle show, show notes, he anounced what he would be auctioning off. You will have to check out his Bonanzle booth to find out. You will also have to have a listen to his show to find out how he is going to be doing the auction. His auction will be on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 1:00 eastern time. Where Have You Promoted Your Bonanzle Bussiness?

What are you doing to promote your Bonanle business? How much time did you spend yesterday promoting your business? We are working for sales, I mean isn't that the bottom line for on line sales? Having fun is great, after the work of promoting, and it is work not to mention an everyday thing to do.

I know that sellers are buyers, I bought 90% of my holiday gifts from Bonanzle businesses. However when you are a site just starting out you need to get out there and promote off site. Placing your coupon code in the forums is not the way to make sales. Announcing you are having a Bonanza is not going to bring sales. Oh sure, you may get one or maybe even two. Lots of lookers, however I am looking for sales, from buyers coming into Bonanzle to buy. Bringing new buyers to the site is my goal. Bonanzle becoming a household name is where it is at and going to make things happen.

Have you uploaded to Google? Have you went in and reworded your listings to make them fresh? Are your pictures cropped and turned the right way? Have you logged out and came back to your booth as a buyer? Wow, this can be a real eye opener. This is where you will see if your shipping is set up correctly or looks outrageous in price. This is also where you will see if your items are listed as used, which is the Bonanzle default or new. After reading your listing do you have questions?

Most buyers are looking for something now and do not want to have to ask questions about an item. When someone comes into your booth, do you say hello and let them know if they have a question that you are there to answer? Or do you quick, click out of your booth and run?

You are responsible for your sales and your business. If you had your own site, you would have to promote it. There are at least 10 sites to list your coupon codes in not to mention your blogs and other places also.

Are you having a Bonanza? Where have you placed your notices? Have you listed them on your blog, or other sites to draw buyers? Or just on the forums?

Start thinking like this is your own web site and promote like there were no forums. Now what? Where do I promote, how do I promote, how ofen do I have to promote?

The answer is everywhere, anyway, everyday! When you go to the Post Office did you take a few fliers to stick on community bulletin boards, like the laundry mat, people have nothing to do there but read, the library. All sorts of places to stick up a flier. Did you grab a few business cards? Leave a couple of them at the library too, next to the computers, in the bank teller
tube at the post office tables, the cashiers, everyone you come in contact with should have one of your business cards.

Have a blog? When was the last time you did anything with it. If it is more than three days, it is to long. To have a blog you need to commit to doing it at leat every other day. Yes, it takes time, but so does posting in forums. On line retail is a business and just like any other business it takes work and not just when you feel like it.

With the economy the way that it is right now, you have to stand out, get your link out there. Your booth needs to be clean and tidy. Check the spelling in your listings, work the words to be picked up in Google. If you have Google Analytics check it everyday to see where your traffic is coming from, what is working and what is not.

A Few Changes At Bonanzle

Bonanzle has been moving right along the last few days. Some changes for the good have taken place and loved.

Last week Bill gave us a new packing slip to use. It now has the Bonanzle logo on it and we can also enter a message to the buyer. Just to kewl!

This week he has enabled us to make simple Bonanzle widgets. He has made step by step instructions to follow. All of the glitches seem to be worked out. Check out the right side over there. That is the new one!

He has also enabled a search for the year sales. This is something that lots of folks have been asking for. Once again ask and you shall receive on Bonanzle, where your vote really does count.

Bonanzle is holding a strong 5th place on the PSU listing board this morning, with 701387 listings. There are 18556 members and 3602 of those users have a booth.

Bonanzle Users Are Nuts??

Bonanzle has once again made the news. Weird Wednesday with Wally - Bonanzle users are nuts! A good kind of nuts. This article was written by Auction Wally. Well ok, I would have to agree with this statement. It would be to hard to disprove.

This is what happens when people are allowed to be people. People should be allowed to have fun at work or it just isn't worth doing. How boring to go to work everyday and have no fun, just go and put in your time. Makes for a very long day.

This is also what happens in a grass root effort to build a site from the ground up. Just think, Bonanzle has only been out of Beta since Sept. 2008. They have made it to the PSU Board at #5 with 686751 listings and lets not forget to mention the 18367 members!

If this is nuts, may the whole United States go nuts! I can only imagine what would happen if everyone got this excited about their job. Sales would go up, customer service would be number one again, and people would be happy. Not to mention the products made in the US would again be worth buying.

Bonanzle is a happy place. No listing fees, no booth fees and the final value fees are nothing to worry about. Listing time is under 2 minutes with uploading and croping pictures at the time of listing. Customer service is really customer service, with real e-mail responses from real people. What's not to go nuts over?

Bonanzle Gives To The Little Seller and The Government Takes Away

Wow so much has happened and going to happen to small sellers. Last year it was e-bay running all of the small sellers off and now this year our own government is trying to close down the little guy. What gives? Bonanzle comes to save the little guy last year with a breath of fresh air and fun, to give us hope again and now CPSIA wants to just close their doors for good.

My take on all of this is that our government has embarrassed itself so badly that now it has to do something quickly to show just how caring they really are. Yeah, right, when pigs fly. They should have banned all children items from China from the start. But, let's wait until we have to do something and punish the masses, who have done nothing.

Let me say that we have seven children and they all wore handme downs. Toys too were also handed down from one child to the next and lets not forget the wooden painted a few times crib! Their baby blankets were all made by me, they all still have them and now the nine grandchildren have one too. Guess what? They are still all alive and healthy! But that was when things were made right here, in the United States NOT imported from China!

I can't even imagine not being able to buy used baby clothes. This is just mind boggling! How in the world in this ecomony are parents supposed to do it? I purchased a lot of baby clothes a few weeks ago for a granddaughter that were in excellent shape for only $35. She will be set for the winter months. What are people raising children going to do?

If you think the ecomony is bad now, just let the government take more control of your life. The more we depend on them, the more control they have. People need to get off their seat and on their feet and start challanging this government. Which I thought worked for the people, however in todays world maybe just a select few.

CALL your reps. don't e-mail and fax them. They have a delete button too! How easy is that to make it go away. Jam up their phone lines, which by the way YOU pay for, give them no rest. Not just the sellers need to be making those calls either, the buyers do as well. Make them start working for you, the ones that pay them.

Boanzle came along last year and gave all of the little sellers something to look forward to. A wonderful new venue to buy and sell on at a price we could all afford to do. Not to mention a voice on the site as well, that is listened to. Don't let your government shut down your business or your choice in buying.

Bonanzle Takes 5th In PSU Listing Board!

I am still so in awe of Bonanzle and the way that they continue to ask the sellers what they need or want. At Bonanzle you can vote on which new features, up to three at a time, you would like to see next on Bonanzle. Did you ever think that you would see this on any site? Not I!

Bill keeps a blog to keep all of us updated on what is happening or fixing to happen on Bonanzle. This is something you will only see on Bonanzle, the site owners keeping the sellers informed. He also keeps at "what's new" page of the things that he has done to the site during the night. This page is auctually fun to read, you will see his sense of humor.

Like yesterday Mark came to the forums and made a post "Support email delay", explaining that your e-mail to support is delayed because of a power outage due to wet snow. You aren't going to find a site like Bonanzle where the site owners care enough to let you know what is happening, let alone answer your e-mails.

Speaking of Mark he will be on Dave's the ebay & beyond: Basics to Business talkshoe show. This will happen Saturday, January 24 at 10 a.m. est time. This is another great show to listen to. You will learn something on this show. Lots of information to be had here.

Last night on the Auction Wally Brainstorming Bonanzle show Phaedra of atthebouque did here first show as his new co-host. She did a fine job! The show as usual was full of information and fun too. Henrietta of Feliciation's also called in. This lady is very sharp. She offered many ways to increase your traffic. Dave from ebay & beyond also called in. He always has great information to share.

Bonanzle Quickly Becoming A Household Name

Tomorrow the Auction Wally show on talkshoe.com Brainstorming Bonanzle will be on at 8 p.m. est time. Mitzi of Vintagegoodness, has decided that time is just not permitting her to co-host the show any longer. She will be missed! However, she did say that she will be dropping in from time to time. Going to hold her to it.

Still no word on the Wallstreet talk yet. Have been checking all of the avenues that I know to check daily. Still waiting......

I was very pleased with my children last night. They know that mom will not shop on the bay any longer. When I had first set up my Bonanlze booth they looked around Bonanzle and I was informed, "Bonanzle doesn't have anything!"

Well last night, I was totally shocked to see both of them on Bonanzle looking at items. Each was on a different computer in different parts of the house. When the boys are impressed with something, you know you now have their attention. They both let me know that making a decission to move to Bonanzle was probably a good thing to do.

Then this morning when my grandson was on his grandpa's computer I hear him yelling at my son Bonanzle is spelled B-O-N-A-N-Z-L-E right? I about fell out! How could this be? He is only 9 years old and using Bonanzle. Of course he was looking for the newest craze "Bakugans" and he found them on Bonanzle. He was so excited and I too was excited!

This was making history in my house, it use to be "did you check e-bay?" and now I don't even have to ask they are going right to Bonanzle on their own. Talk about word of mouth. These teens are the best word of mouth you can get. They talk to all of their friends who talk to their other friends and parents too. Not to mention they do spend money.

Bonanzle On The Move

Wow have things been moving fast at Bonanzle the last few days! Listening to Dave of ebayandbeyond on talkshoe this morning. I tell you there is so much information in these shows, so much to walk away with and put into action. He announced that on January 24,2009 Mark from Bonanzle would be on the show. Dave's show is on every Saturday morning at 10 est. This like the AuctionWally show is one that you don't want to miss.

Scott Pooler of iBusinessLogic was a caller this morning. Scott is setting up websites that link to Bonanzle booths with blogs. Make sure to check out his Bonanzle booth. He also wrote a great read on Trading Assistant Journal today. It is a sad read, however one should really take the time to read. It will surly make you step back and think about your business. While on the call he told us that he had been contacted by Wallstreet about Bonanzle. Of course we all wanted to know more, however this is all that he really had. Guess we are just going to have to wait and see what is happening there.

On New Year's Eve, Bill decided to make us a really kewl packing slip. It looks so much better now with the Bonanzle logo on it. We can now edit the packing slip with a message to the buyer, which is a great idea. Thank you Bill!

We can now do a completed items search by catagories for the last thirty days. This has been something that many have been asking for and now have. We also have feedback reminders.

Get this on your calendar, Auction Wally is going to do a live auction at his Bonanzle Booth on Saturday, January 10,2009 at noon eastern time! This will be his first live auction at his Bonanzle booth!

Auction Wally is a licensed MA auctioneer with over 25 years experience. His auctions no matter where they are at, are no reserve, no minimum. The way auctions were met to be!

He is also a writer for the National Online Newspaper, The Examiner.com, he writes an Antique Column just full of information. He also has two talk shows, Brainstorming Bonanzle and The AuctionWally Show. Both of these shows are so much fun and the information is tremendous. If you do just one thing that this man suggests from each show you will increase your traffic.

Auction Wally has also set up a ning network, The AuctionWally Network. This is a fairly new site, however the information here is just great! Lots of nice folks there with the same interests.

Bonanzle On The Super Sized Side

Bonanzle has had some huge growth in just a few short months. With 15869 users and just a little over 3000 Bonanzle Booth owners with 597354 listings this site is moving up. On the Auction Wally "Brainstorming Bonanzle" at talkshoe.com, there had been a few limited discussions about Bonanzles growth and large sellers moving onto the site.

There were mixed feelings about the large sellers coming to the site after the work of buiding it up and taking over with their thousands of listings. Buried listings seemed to be a concern as well as turning Bonanzle into something we had all left behind.

Change is good, although at times seems to be a very hard to do. If the other site had not made so many changes, that never seem to end, I and a lot of other folks would have continued to stay right there. In this case change was a very good thing. Bonanzle was born and the change of selling on another venue was a very good change. A very welcomed change!

Growth for a site is very good as long as it is planned for. I am sure that many still have doubts about what will become of Bonanzle when we are super sized. Will the small to medium sellers still have a home that they have all worked at building? Will it still be a friendly and very helpful community?

Last night Bill posted a new Bonanzle Blog that is well worth the read! Titled, "You Wonder: What Happens When We're Huge?". My take on this is that Bonanzle will not change nor the community, we will just super size. Bill and Mark are still answering their e-mails, still posting on the boards, still have their Bonanzle booths and still making improvements to the site.

If your are looking for a new selling or buying venue, you really need to take a few minutes and check out Bonanzle. Bonanzle is like a large family if someone needs help more than one will be there to help. The deals are wonderful and the items are so unique! This year is quickly coming to a close another year gone. Bonanzle born in 2008, has had a wonderful first year! So many firsts for this new selling venue, so many wonderful things. Bonanzle has truly been a blessing for so many sellers.

With e-bay wanting to get rid of the small sellers and go to the big box sellers there didn't seem to be to many real options for the small seller. Then along comes Bonanzle! Our hero!

The rising cost of doing business on e-bay ( seemed to be rising for the small seller only) was not going to work for me or my customers. Every time they raised their prices I had to do the same.
Passing on the cost to my customers.

I started out selling my items at a cost that everyone could afford and having to keep raising those prices to cover e-bay fees, well it just wasn't working for me any longer.

Then e-bay decides that sellers are only allowed to take their other company's method of payment PayPal. Well let me say there are lots of people that don't have a PayPal account and will NOT give their information on line. Yes, I take money orders and will continue to do so. Just not at e-bay. Yes, I have even taken personal checks.

E-bay use to be a fun place to sell and to buy, not any more. I use to buy everything on e-bay. I liked buying unique items that I was able to find there, not any more.

I have found a new home, one that is fun again to buy and to sell. One that I can once again find the unique items that I love to buy. One that I can run my business the way that I see fit to run it. One that allows me to take any kind of payment that I want to take. One that has no listing fees, no booth fees and the final value fees are nothing to worry about.

Bonanzle is now my new home! The founders Bill and Mark have made selling fun again! So simple to list, one small page to list, add up to four pictures and crop them at the same time. One click listing!

Bonanzle has grown to become #6 on the PSU listing count board has 564991 listing with 15464 users and 3002 Bonanzle Booths. That is some kind of growth!

The Bonanzle community is so friendly and helpful! If anyone has a question they can go to the boards and within minutes they will have an answer. Not a rude response, but a real answer. There have also been loads of "Secret Santas" at Bonanzle. What a feeling to receive a package not knowing what is inside with your name on it, just makes you feel like a child again.

I want to thank Bill and Mark for all of the endless hours of work that they have put into Bonanzle! These guys answer your e-mails, not an auto response canned answer, but they really answer your e-mails. They show up on the fourms and respond to posts. They even have their own Bonanzle Booths. They have given small sellers something to look forward to again!

They have given the small sellers back their business! They have given us hope again. They have given me a reason to expand my business in 2009! Something that I had just pretty much hadn't even thought about. I haven't been this excited since I first started selling on line.

Excellent Week For Bonanzle

Bonanzle has had a most excellent week. On Thursday the 18th Bonanzle hit the half million items listed and today Sunday, the 21st we will hit the 15000 user mark! That is some kind of grass roots effort in a very short amount of time. Congratulations to Bill and Mark and the whole Bonanzle community! A job well done, however not finished by a long shot.

It is official Bonanzle hit the 15000 member mark at 2:47 p.m. est on 12/21/08! Kimkav is the 15000 new Bonanzle member. Welcome to Bonanzle!

Bill's little surprise a few days ago also included redirect link for Bonanzle booths. Now when using your url, you no longer need to use "booth" . Way to kewl!

Currently there are 2927 Bonanzle booths, which means there are lots of new users, that are buyers.

If you have a Bonanzle booth it is critical that you use the Google Feed to upload your product to the Google search. There are many more sales coming into the site from the Google search. If you are needing help with this you can see the thread "All Googe Base Posts Are In One Post Here". Make sure to read the first post. This thread will answer most questions.

Sandy of BargainBasement Bonanzle booth is an asset to the Bonanzle community! She has set up simple how to's and lists them as freebies in her Bonanzle Booth complete with screen shots. New Things This Morning At Bonanzle

This morning after logging into Bonanzle, there is another one of Bill's Blogs, "Indulgent Snow Day". He has once again worked through out the night on new features at Bonanzle. This guy just doesn't sleep. He also has a great sense of humor, well worth a read to start your day with a smile.

Bill has added the calculated shipping cost from the items page. This means that you no longer have to get to checkout to discover what the shipping charges will be. It will go from your zip code if you are logged in, if not you will have to enter a zip code. This I do believe will help with sales for lots of sellers. I don't like to be surprised at the shipping charges at checkout.

Bill has also added the smiley's to the e-mails, hand picked items list and blog comments. You can now add pictures, bold and italics. The smiley's have thrilled many on the forums.

Now this next one has been something that loads have asked for and have now gotten. A user can now search for another user in the search with their user ID. This search will also bring up the users hand picked list.

He has also made it so that when you are switching between pages in a booth, the page no longer has to refresh, less time to load.

Bill's late night update says, "I just decided the next fun thing to add, and I added it. But I'm going to leave it as an Easter egg for some sleuth to uncover. I'll give you one hint: it'll help with your business cards." Like I said, he has a sense of humor.

Bonanzle Has Over A Half Million Listings!

Another milestone for Bonanzle was hit yesterday with a listing count of over a half million! The PSU listing count board shows Bonanzle is still in the #6 slot. Currently Bonanzle has 14452 users and 2868 Bonanzle Booth owners.

Bonanzle has also been nominalted for Small Business Computing 2009 for best e-bay alternative. The results will be announced January 28,2009. Be sure to make your vote count.

ECommerence-Guide Essentials yesterday did an article on "Our Picks For Top e-bay Alternatives". This is from the article, "Bonanzle carries the title of the fastest growing alternative ever, and every month since July, Bonanzle's traffic has either doubled or nearly doubled."

This morning Bonanzle is # 6 on the PSU listing count board! A day later than I thought it would happen, however it did! Bonanzle has 14123 users this morning and 2822 Bonanzle Booths! Bonanzle is growing at a rapid rate everyday!

Bonanzle And The Ice Storms

Bonanzle has had so many of it's members affected by the ice storms. The Bonanzle site itself has been running just ever so swiftly. However, many of the Bonanzle family members have been without power which in turn means no internet connection.

Auction Wally left a message on Twitter that the Brainstorming Bonanzle show scheduled for Monday at 8 p.m. eastern time may not happen this week. He said this morning on Twitter that they have limited pc use.

OctoberMoon posted this morning finally, that many maybe without power for as long as 2 weeks in some areas. She again has limited pc connection. Very happy to hear from her!

Renagade has been in the storms over the last week and has gotten back on line this morning. Also glad to hear that they are alright!

Precious Jewelry just checked in and said that she now has electricity again. Glad to hear from her as well!

Bonanzle really is a wonderful community, more like family really. When you are used to people and then all of a sudden, they just don't show up, well it's kind of like a family member that has missed super. You can't help but get concerned.

With the wonderful chat at Bonanzle, at least they can check in at their booth and leave a note as to what is going on, or leave a post on the forums.

My heart goes out to all of the people affected by these storms. At Bonanzle we are a family!

Bonanzle Has Created A Hand Picked Shopping List

Bonanzle now has a "Hand Picked" shopping list. This is a list that you create in your my Bonanzle area and give it a title. I did one this morning giving it the title "Daughter in Laws". You place 15 items on this list that you think people would like. This Bonanzle Hand Picked list will expire in 2 weeks. It allows buyers to get some other ideas rather than just random browsing. Which we all know can be very discouraging looking at page after page and finding
nothing.

What's New At Bonanzle

There has been so much happening this past week at Bonanzle! Everyday there is something new to explore not just the new Bonanzle Booths, but the new features that appear in the early mornings! Everyday is a new adventure at Bonanzle!

This morning as most every morning I was at the PSU listing count board, we just became official there this week. Well, by the looks of things we should take over the #6 spot be the weekend! This is some kind of growth for a grassroots community!

A big thing with the sellers using HTLM in their listing was that the default was not set to HTML. Well guess what it is now. Bonanzle really listens to the sellers.

Another issue some sellers were having was the checkout system. So once again, Bill and Mark listened to the sellers. The checkout has been changed. I don't know what has changed to it, however it is an excuse for my to have to buy to find out. hehehe

I personaly don't use the remote chats, but lots of the Bonanzle sellers do. Now all four of the remote chats are working!

We were all so excited this morning to find tha we can use smilily faces on our forums! This sure will make the forums more fun than they already are.

Bonanzle Makes A Grand Entrance On The PSU Board!

It is finally official, Bonanzle is now on the PSU Listing Board! Bonanzle made a grand entrance on the PSU Listing Board arriving at #7! Bonanzle went live in June 2008, I would think that this has set a new standard for new venues for growth. We are only talking about six months time.

Bonanzle has added so many things to the site in a very short amount of time. International shipping, wysiwyg editor, wish list, save for later list, enabled sellers to use coupon codes, enabled sellers to do their own Google Base Feeds, launched a new server that is 8x faster, added over 26,000 categories, and the list goes on and on.

Bonanzle was also nominated for top e-bay alternative for the small business computing 2009 awards. The winners will be announced Wednesday, January 28, 2009.

King 5 a Seattle WA, news station also did a feature on Bonanzle in November. This was very exciting. Auction Wally was also interviewed by Fox News about antiques and the value of them. He also let the world know about Bonanzle. Auction Wally also does the "Brainstorming Bonanzle" Talkshoe show every Monday night at 8 p.m. eastern time. Which is in the top 100 shows on Talkshoe! Thank You Auction Wally for all that you have done and continue to do for Bonanzle!

I am so very proud to be a part of this grassroots effort! The Bonanzle community is a very caring and helpful group of people. A hugh THANK YOU to Bill and Mark for giving the sellers back control of their business and really listening to us!

Bonanzle Coupons

Last week Bonanzle enabled sellers to start using coupons. Wonderful idea for Bonanzle sellers! Now that Bonanzle has given me yet another selling tool, how to use it? Mass e-mails to customers is great however, how to reach others with a coupon?

AuctionBytes newsletter came out with a place called RetailMeNot.com
I haven't had time to get into the meat of this site, it does look promising. Make sure that you are making it clear that the coupon is for your booth only and not the entire site.

Another site that you can list your "deals" or coupon codes is plumdrop.com This site is a great networking site for sellers of all venues. In your account, set up your coupon codes.

I am sure that I will find more sites to list our new Bonanzle tool.

Bonanzle Booth Owners and The Boards

Bonanzle has been such a blessing for many sellers. The founders of Bonanzle have spent endless hours working on this site and at not cost to the seller unless their items sells. The final value fees at Bonanzle are next to nothing.

I have to say these guys are something other than the ordinary! I mean I just couldn't do what they do day in and day out. There is just no way I would put up with it. I know that Bill was up all night the night before last. I logged in at 5 a.m. eastern time which makes it 2 a.m. his time and he was still going on hours after that. Answering questions on the boards.

It amazes me with some of the threads "no sales I am going back to e-bay". To these posts I have no sympathy. Professional sellers will not chime in and "beg" you to stay. True business owners, and professional sellers feel no need to cause a scene and "flounce" out the door. My teenage daughter might though. To this post I have several questions for you:
1. Have you uploaded to Google Base?
2. Have you listed on everyplaceisell.com?
3. Have you submitted your booth url to the search engines?
4. Have you read any of the forums on self promotion and did any of it?
Have you leveraged the many tools Bonanzle provides to help you drive sales to your booth?

I came to Bonanzle to have control over my business again! Not to make it someone else's business to run my business and to make my sales for me. News flash, if you had your own business on your own web site, it would cost you plenty per month and YOU would have to promote your business. Maybe you really aren't ready for your own business, it takes work and plenty of hours devoted to it everyday. Not just when you feel like it or sales are down.

Bonanzle couldn't be any easier than it already is. The one box for listing is so simple and quick. You can upload your pictures at the same time you are writing your listing and then go back and crop them and even rotate them. Check the shipping method, new or used, or best offer, it really is a snap. These guys couldn't have made this easier. However, you do have to take a minute to make sure that you have read what you are checking in the little boxes or have not checked in the little boxes.

Just a few hours later this shows up on the boards,"Bonanzle marked my items USED? Thats why i have NO sales!". I did not edit this title, this is the actual title of the thread. No Mr. Business owner, Bonanzle did NOT mark your items used, you did not check the little box that says they are new. I so do wish that I could take a screen shot of the 1/2 page that it takes to make a listing. I have been trying to learn this for the last few days, still haven't gotten it yet, but I will. This type of thread really eats at me. What are you thinking to post this for everyone to see just how educated that you really are? This tells me that in all of the time that you have been on Bonanzle you have not once even taken the time to read your own listing. Look at it the way that your customers are going to look at it. If I had done this to all of my listings, I would have figured out a way to change them and hoped that no one else had seen them. I surly wouldn't have headed for the boards to post it.

Prior to the last post this thread was started," I just need to VENT.....is anyone listening??". I have to ask you here again, who is in charge of your business? So in retrospect, whose business is it? Yours? Hmmm.... Why would you bring the e-bay drama to Bonanzle? You have been on e-bay for how long and a powerseller and you still don't know the rules and the way that things have been working? I have a very hard time with what people want and what they chose to show to the world. There is NO way that a professional business owner would walk across to the other side of the mall and start venting for all of the customers or the other business owners, in that store to see and hear. Would you? Really?

I have written this blog in hopes that the people that say they are business owners, see just how bad this really looks. It looks like you have no idea how to run or take control of your business. The boards are no place for these kinds of things. Bonanzle is a very helpful community and if you need help all you have to do is read the boards or ask questions.

If you need help with your listings, step back and take just a minute to make sure that they are what you are wanting to tell your customers. It is your job as a business owner to know what is going on in your business. Don't ever let your customers come to you and tell you what your listings look like or what they say.

If you have issues at another site, please take it up at that site. Find a mentor someone that you can e-mail for advice if something goes south. You just don't run to another site and start venting about the other one. Again, if one site is not good for your business, only you can make the changes and move to or from that site.

Let's try to think before we head to the boards next time. Is this what you want your potential buyers to see? Because they will. Everything you post here, can be seen all over the internet, it is in Google....etc....

I have done all of my holiday shopping at Bonanzle and would like to share with you the experiences that I have had.

I found a Bonanzle Booth called At The Boutique at http://www.bonanzle.com/booths/attheboutique now I have to share a little story with you before I share my experience with this lady.

A few years ago it was my mother in laws birthday. You know it is always hard to buy for people that are older, they have everything that they want and will share nothing with you that they may be wanting. So after thinking for weeks I decided to purchase a nice basket and fill it with Yankee Candles. These candles are just wonderful and come in hundreds of different scents. So off to the mall I went. The basket was beautiful when I was finished. I was rather thrilled with myself. Who wouldn't love to get this?

Well to my surprise, when she opened my gift, I got "the look" from everyone! What? What have I done wrong? I felt like I could have just crawled in a corner. I had done something very wrong here and had no idea what it was. My sister in law later tells me that mom has COPD! Great! All of those wonderful scents could just kill her. I had not idea!
