More Bonanzle News

Bonanzle has been moving in a forward direction with lots of new and trying to improve features. The newest feature this morning and love it, is the ability to make your Bonanzle widgets custom. Check out the new one on the top right. No, it doesn't color coordinate with this blog, however I am trying to show you, you are now able to choose your colors. An awesome idea for those that have several blogs and need to make them fit in.

The chat box is now able to become a full page size, not sure why you would want to do this, however it is now an option.

Another super feature is that now while you are listing you can place your items into the custom catagory instead of having to list and then batch edit it into the custom catagory. There are also traits that you can add while listing, which again saves time.

The little green dots that use to be next to an item for sale are no longer there. If your item includes the shipping in the price, it will show a little box, free shipping.

There was a HUGE announcement last night on the Brianstorming Bonanzle Show! Last night was the last night of the Brainstorming Bonanzle Show. The host, Auction Wally and co-host Phaedra decided that the Brainstorming Bonanzle Show had been taken as far as it could go.

Now they are looking out for their listeners, they have decided to instead replace the show with a new show called The Selling Circus it will air on Monday nights at 8 est on talk shoe. They have heard and know that for the most part, most of the listeners sell on more than on selling venue. So now instead of just the focus of selling on Bonanzle, they are going to be able to share so much more useful information. Kuudos to Wally and Phaedra for looking out for their listeners!

TODAY Bonanzle Up Mobile Charity Auction For St. Jude

Today is the Bonanzle Up Mobile Charity auction for St. Jude. It will be called live from the Auction Wally Brainstorming Bonanzle Show at 8 est today, Monday, June 1, 2009. You will need two tabs open, one to place your bids in the chat box of the Bonanzle Up Mobile Bonanzle booth and the other to hear the bids being called on the Brainstorming Bonanzle Show. This is for a great cause, the kids!

All items have been donated by Bonanzle booth owners right down to the shipping. So what you bid is what you are going to pay. The shipping is on the donors. Gotta love that! One hundred percent of the money goes to St. Jude.

Bonanzle has had a couple of really neat things added this week. Instead of the little green dot at the bottom of listings now, if you offer shipping included in the price, it shows free shipping. If you are on line, there is an option that a buyer can click and chat with you right then. It takes them right to your chat box. Your items are placed higher search if you are on line. Don't know how well this is going to fly, but we shall see what happens. There seems to also be an up roar after some changes, then things settle down again.

Auction Wally's Brainstorming Bonanzle With Guest Renagade

Tomorrow night Monday, at 8 p.m. est, is the Auction Wally show Brainstorming Bonanzle. This show is a must listen to for any lon line sellers. If you take one item from the show and commit to use it, you will be ahead. This man has lots to offer and more than willing to share his knowledge.

Brainstorming Bonanzle "Discussion Boards" Teriffic Show!

If you missed the Auction Wally Brainstorming Bonanzle show last night you missed an excellent show. The show was "How we use the Discussion Board on Bonanzle", a very informative show with some very good feedback from all who attended. Great information for all chat forums not just Bonanzle.

No matter what community you are in, there is going to be a few negative Nelly's, just the way it is. However, how you choose to handle it is the key. You can engage in this type of behavior or ignore it, all together.

There are some folks that are new to the internet and don't understand that every time a comment is made in a negative thread it will bring it back to the top. The key to the negative threads is to ignore them and they will go away. Make no comments to it, put it to rest.

I have to tell you I love this new word that I have learned, "snarkey"! Not really even sure of the spelling of it. Never heard it before the Auction Wally show and his co-host Phaedra from @the booutique used it. Snarkey comments are from what I understand of it, directed at someone or just a nasty comment.

Again how you choose to handle the snarkey comment is up to you. Continue to make comments to that thread and it just continues to come to the top, which in turn gets exposure. This is what that poster has wanted, the attention. Don't give it to them, make no comment.

Yes, there are people that come to the boards for help. If things get out of hand or ugly, send them a text message with the answers they are needing, don't continue to give attention to a poster that is seeking attention.

With the growth that Bonanzle is experiencing, there are going to be things said in the forums that are taken the wrong way. This is true of any forum, you can not hear the tone of their voice or that little grin or wink to know how this is being said. If you are in any doubt about a post you are writing and the way it will be taken, don't post it.

The Bonanzle forums have been just super for answers and ideas for promoting. For the most part there is a large group of folks there that take time to answer questions and help when it is needed. The forums on Bonanzle are probably the best I have seen. Just chalk it up to growing pains.

Bonanzle Off Line For 7 Minutes Saturday

Yesterday Bonanzle went off line for about 7 minutes to add more disk space to the server. I do believe that it was only in November that this was done, Bonanzle has had some kind of growth. Bill let everyone know this was going to happen in advance in his Bonanzle blog.
This morning the listing count is at 1,046,613 and 24,802 users. Of those users 7,247 have a Bonanzle booth and of those Bonanzle booth owners 388 are supporting members.

With growth also comes change which we all know is not going to make everyone happy, no matter what you do. There has been so much "promoting" in the forums that now there is a special place in the forums just for promoting your booth called of course, "Promote Your Booth".

There have been some very creative people who have come up with tickle me tuesday, friends on friday, auctions, limbo and a few other ways to sell. So Bill has put yet another spot in the forums just for "Buying and Selling Games".

On the front page there is yet another place that will show the Bonanzle booth that is having a Bonanza and when. You set up the day and time and your "special" for that three hour block. Once you have done this it is then shown on the Bonanza page.

Promoting also has to be done off Bonanzle for your booth, your business. Promoting in the forums in the correct place is great and that is where it should be done. It seems the latest craze is now to go to someones booth and leave them a message in their chat box advertising their booth. This is the most unprofessional form of advertistment I can think of.

Don't forget the Auction Wally "Brainstorming Bonanzle" show is tomorrow night at 8 est. This is where you will learn to promote your business, what works and doesn't work. There is always lots of great information at his show. If you take just one idea and use it, you will be ahead of the game.

Brainstorming Bonanzle Great Show Last Night

Brainstorming Bonanzle last night was an awesome show! Just so much information, from branding your business to doing a live real time auction at your Bonanzle booth. If you missed the show you can listen to it and read the show notes. Well worth the 2 hours and 20 minutes, Auction Wally and his co-host Phaedra kept the show fun and very informative.

Henrietta didn't come to the show which was kind of disappointing, she always shares great information. However, John from ColderIce.com did. This guy is just crazy, but in a great way, fun to listen to. He also shared some great information.

So what's new at Bonanzle? There are still lots of people that are on dial up and with that said, when doing a Bonanza, (a sale in your Bonanzle booth) there is a disco ball that spins around in your banner, music and a little robot. With all of the little extras, it can really bog down your chat box, making it a nightmare to answer questions. Well now you have the option to turn these special little extra features off. This is wonderful news to the dial up folks, buyer and seller.

The pictures on the front page now move at a faster rate. They almost explode into the next picture. Really an awesome sight to sit and watch. The completed search now prompts you for what you are searching for. This is a feature that lots of folks have been waiting for.

Bonanzle is still #4 on the PSU listing board and I still believe that by this Thursday they will hit a million listings in just a short 5 months, something that took e-bay two years to do. There is currently over 21,000 users, not to shabby.

Exciting Day At Bonanzle!

Bonanzle had another exciting day yesterday! Bonanzle made it to the #4 spot on the PSU listing board and reached 21,000 members! My guess is that Bonanzle will have a million listings by Thursday this week. Something that took e-bay 2 years to do.

This site has been built by the community. Autcion Wally has helped with so many things. He has been doing a talkshoe.com show every Monday night at 8 est, called Brainstorming Bonanzle. If you are looking for ways to increase your business this is the show to listen to. Auction Wally has been in the business for 25 years and offers loads of information, not to mention he is so much fun too! He also has a Bonanzle booth, autionwally.

Bonanzle Growning Like Weeds After A Spring Time Rain

Bonanzle is growing at a steady rate. Still #5 on the PSU listing board and I believe that by this time next month Bonanzle will be in the #4 spot. Within the one year of start up I see Bonanzle in the #3 spot at PSU.

Bonanzle currently has 19,641 users and 3,888 of those users have a Bonanzle booth. This means that there are a lot of users that are buyers. You do the math.

Last night on the Auction Wally Brainstorming Bonanzle show, show notes, he anounced what he would be auctioning off. You will have to check out his Bonanzle booth to find out. You will also have to have a listen to his show to find out how he is going to be doing the auction. His auction will be on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 1:00 eastern time. Bonanzle On The Super Sized Side

Bonanzle has had some huge growth in just a few short months. With 15869 users and just a little over 3000 Bonanzle Booth owners with 597354 listings this site is moving up. On the Auction Wally "Brainstorming Bonanzle" at talkshoe.com, there had been a few limited discussions about Bonanzles growth and large sellers moving onto the site.

There were mixed feelings about the large sellers coming to the site after the work of buiding it up and taking over with their thousands of listings. Buried listings seemed to be a concern as well as turning Bonanzle into something we had all left behind.

Change is good, although at times seems to be a very hard to do. If the other site had not made so many changes, that never seem to end, I and a lot of other folks would have continued to stay right there. In this case change was a very good thing. Bonanzle was born and the change of selling on another venue was a very good change. A very welcomed change!

Growth for a site is very good as long as it is planned for. I am sure that many still have doubts about what will become of Bonanzle when we are super sized. Will the small to medium sellers still have a home that they have all worked at building? Will it still be a friendly and very helpful community?

Last night Bill posted a new Bonanzle Blog that is well worth the read! Titled, "You Wonder: What Happens When We're Huge?". My take on this is that Bonanzle will not change nor the community, we will just super size. Bill and Mark are still answering their e-mails, still posting on the boards, still have their Bonanzle booths and still making improvements to the site.

If your are looking for a new selling or buying venue, you really need to take a few minutes and check out Bonanzle. Bonanzle is like a large family if someone needs help more than one will be there to help. The deals are wonderful and the items are so unique!
